How To Build Faith That Fights Back

What does it feel like to give your best and still get rejected?

What does it feel like to pitch your services over and over again and still hear “no?”

What does it also feel like to see your mates succeed, while you’re barely making ends meet?

What does it feel like to try multiple businesses, only to fail repeatedly? Or to learn countless skills but master none?

Let me help you answer that: It feels bad.

I may not have named your exact struggle, but whatever failure you’re facing right now is testing your faith.

It’s pushing you to the wall. You would want to give up. But is that really an option?

Some of us aren’t just tired, we’re bruised.

But being bruised doesn’t mean we’re broken.

I need us to take a moment and reflect on those who are successful today. People who built from scratch.

I want you to ask yourself;

  • Did they make it in a day?

  • Did they pass through these same challenges I’m facing?

  • What kept them going?

Let me lend you a hand with that last one: Faith

Faith in God carried most of them through rejection, failures and uncertainties.

Because in life, you’re not just living. You’re fighting wars. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wars.

You’re battling self-doubt, rejection, betrayal, anxiety, and so much more. But no soldier goes to war alone.

To fight like a gallant soldier, you need to build faith that fights back. A resilient kind of faith.

And that kind of faith is only built in God.

How Do You Build Faith That Fights Back?

Faith isn’t just belief or hope; it’s a shield, ready for battle.

 It doesn’t remove the fight. It gives you the strength to withstand arrows and fight battles.

This takes me back to Ephesians 6:16;

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

Faith is your defense. Your armor.

1.Fight Back With Truth, Not Emotions.

Emotions are powerful, but they’re unstable.

 It’s one of our biggest weaknesses.

They deceive and distract.

Emotion fluctuates, but truth and rationality don't.

Truth doesn’t waver.

Ask yourself;

  • What lies have I believed that’ve kept me from fighting?

  • What lies have I made myself accept as the truth?

Speak truth over lies. Declare yourself a warrior.

When things aren’t working out, don’t pretend they are.

Be honest.

Be real.

That’s where healing begins.

2.Fight Back With Prayer That Roars.

Prayer isn’t just communication, it’s confrontation.  It is war.

Most people often feel unheard by parents, friends and even by God. So prayer starts to feel like talking to thin air.

But here’s the truth: God doesn’t just hear the whispered prayers; he responds to war cries.

When life hits you hard, don’t whisper. Roar.

It isn’t the time to treat prayer as a polite conversation. Make it a spiritual confrontation.

Pour your frustrations into that prayer. Pour it all out; you’re fighting a battle, treat it as one. Cry, shout, tremble if you must.

This is where you say;

“I’m not backing down. I’m not giving up. I’m calling heaven into this mess.”

Psalm 18:6 — “In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry came before him, even into his ears.”

Be bold. Say those things you feel are unfair to you. Back it up with Psalms and cries. Don’t be scared of offending God because he isn’t offended.

Pray even when you don’t feel like it; that’s where faith grows.

The harder you go, the harder God moves.

Going hard in prayer doesn’t just move the heavens; it gives you reassurance and comfort.

It’s either you go hard or life takes you home.

3.Fight Back With People Who Don’t Let You Quit.

Isolation weakens faith; community strengthens it.

You don’t have to fight alone; even Jesus had disciples, so why are you struggling alone?

Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:

“And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

The journey of faith was never designed to be a solo one.

For the scripture says in Matthew 18:20:

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Your circle matters.

Move with people who push you towards faith. People who fight with you.

When you are all gathered in prayer, God moves.

The people around you are like reinforcements during war.

When you pray with them, that means your prayer gets reinforcements and your prayer gets louder.

Again, ask yourself;

  • Who in my circle helps me fight back?

  • Are we gathering in God’s name or just out of habit?

Surround yourself with warriors.

People who pray with you and refuse to let you quit.

You’re not weak or forgotten. Neither are you alone.

 You’re a soldier in a spiritual war.

It’s time to fight through the failures and challenges with faith.

So today, pray yourself out of your situation. Call someone who won’t let you quit.

And above all, build faith that fights back.
