Trust Him Even When There Are Many Reasons To Doubt Him

From a friend to a friend:

You know, the bad days will make you question yourself and your existence. It hurts — so bad. You’ll cry. You might lose the will to eat, drink or even fight for yourself.

The missed opportunities, the mistakes, the failed attempts and bad decisions, it really hurts. You will pray that the clock turns back in time, but it just won’t.

When you look at others, you see their efforts paying off. But somehow, yours aren’t yielding results. Each effort feels like pouring water on a rock.

You are always wondering if you’re doing the wrong thing, or if it’s a sign to change paths. This season leaves you a mess, mentally, emotionally and physically.

But my good friend, I know you’ve heard of God. And in times like this, you even start to question His existence.

 Isn’t He seeing your suffering?

Is He turning a deaf ear to your cries?

If He does exist, why isn’t He responding?

Again, my good friend, have you heard of the saying that opposites attract? If there’s good, there’s bad. If demons exist, then angels do too. If there are setbacks, there is progress. If bad luck exists, so does good luck. If there’s life, there’s death.

In the same way, if there is Satan, then there is God.

When you face days like this, don’t doubt God or His existence. Trust Him. And when trusting Him becomes too hard, remind yourself of the goodness He has shown you when you called on Him. He’s still going to come through. You just need to be patient with Him.

You made a mistake, missed an opportunity, and messed things up. He understands. He’ll definitely make things easier for you. He will turn the situation around.

You might ask if God is the only solution at this point, and my answer is yes. He is your best bet. He does wonders and never fails.

He will turn the situation around for you. And I’m not saying this out of belief, I’m speaking from experience.

Call on Him with your heart, and He will answer. Pray like your life depends on it because it does, and He will answer.

It will most definitely be alright. Most times when life starts playing with me, I look in the mirror with tears in my eyes and I say to myself;

You’ve got this, buddy. It's a phase, and here we are. Let those tears flow; a little sadness is the price we will pay for this moment. And after rain comes sunshine. Even the seasons of the year come and go, so this too shall pass. And we have God, His eyes of mercy are always upon us, and we are waiting for Him to act. Now, it’s time to clean those tears and act like nothing ever happened.Because our God is in control.”

Those words are what I say to myself, and now, friend, I’m saying it to you. Do not despair, for the Lord is with you.

If you ever need consolation, read Psalm 91; it reassures you of God's grace in your life.
